FIRST ALBUM "WHERE'S THE PARTY": Listen to snippets of songs recorded live by HOTROD in March 2001 at The West Side Grill in Kingston. "Surfin' USA" Eric sings lead on this Beach Boys hit. "Double Shot of My Baby's Love" A group song by The Swinging Medallions. "Birthday" George and Barry belting out this Beatles rocker.
SECOND ALBUM "HOTROD 2": "Love Her Madly" Eric shadows the Lizard King on this Doors hit. "Oh Darling" George croons out this Beatles love song. "Taking Care of Business" Frank takes the lead on this BTO tune.
INTERNATIONAL RELEASE: Mike Rabb, former Hudson Valley resident and original member of The Jelly Bean Bandits asked HOTROD (and other bands from around the globe) to record our impression of a Bandits single for a compilation CD of original JBB tunes titled Bandit Planet. Here is our version of "Salesman". Visit the Jelly Bean Bandits website.
MUSIC VIDEO: Recorded in 2005 at Hunter Mountain Lodge's annual end of winter party. A short clip of "Frankenstein" by Edgar Winter.
RADIO JINGLES: We did them years ago for a defunct radio station we no longer have an association with. We have to say that. And yes, HOTROD did do all the instrumentation on them. Wordsmith Barry takes credit for writing the lyrics. Please have fun listening to them. "Here He Comes" -Taken from The Monkees television show theme. Barry and George sharing lead vocal with a little interlude thrown in for a station message. "The Bunch" -The band kids and friends singing on this old family-oriented favorite. "Great Oldies" -Eric and Michelle Muir sharing lead voices. Based on the Green Acres theme. "Hillbilly Bob" -Frank sings this familiar TV theme. Don't be fooled by the banjo. It was done on a synthesizer. None of us know how to play one. |
